In January of 2022, my wife and I contacted Sara Bollmann on the advice of a friend. At first, we weren't quite certain what we wanted. We just knew it was time to get out of our apartment. So, she helped us clarify what we were looking for. We initially thought that the process might last a few months, but Sara helped us find the right property in a matter of weeks. Her work, however, didn't end then. She helped us write a contract that not only make our offer stand out, but also protected us in a tightening market. They were always available to answer our questions, even when they were on vacation. Debbie drove across town to get our check when it was made out incorrectly and delivered it to us at the bank. Prior to selecting Sara as our realtor to list our house for sale, we knew her for quite a few years through our church. We personally knew about a half dozen other real estate agents, and we selected Sara not based on her realty skills, but on the skills she demonstrated throughout the years serving on various church boards and committees. We made a great choice. Prior to signing a contract with Sara to list our house, she worked to determine the house's market-ability and likely selling price. After we signed a contract with her to list the house she guided us through the process to finalize the listing price and set reasonable expectations based on the house's floor plan and condition. The work was spot on, as the house ended up selling at the high end of the price range she suggested and in a timely manner. Once the house was listed we received multiple offers the first week. Sara was quite savvy in guiding us through the process to ensure that our house remained on the market until all the hurdles were cleared in the initially accepted offer. She was adept at picking out conditions that needed to be countered in the various offers and explained how some were significant, and others that were just normal buyer expectations. Sara shined for us at closing. We were buying a house at the same time in another community, and were keeping track of several offers. We made a significant gaffe by removing appliances from our house that were supposed to be left for the buyer! We had already left town for our next residence, and Sara handled the situation with aplomb. She successfully negotiated with the buyers' agent and saved the day by coming up with a solution that was amenable to ourselves and the buyers. Her overall level of customer service was outstanding. Certainly realtors are always expected to place their family lives behind the needs of their work, and Sara demonstrated her commitment to her career by presenting offers and working on counter-offers with us late into the evenings. After the house was sold, she continued to exceed my expectations by handling maintenance items that spilled over after the sale. Although we have left the Milwaukee area and will not have the day-to-day contact with friends in the Milwaukee area housing market, we have and will continue to praise her work for us and recommend to others that they list their homes with Sara.
